Derivatives Specialist

The position will be primarily responsible for administering all back office operations associated with derivatives investment, ensuring the proper posting for all derivative and related transactions in the Invest One accounting system. The position will also confirm all derivatives transactions executed by Investment Management personnel. Secondarily, the position will be responsible for the daily processing of margin and collateral movements. The position will require a person with excellent process, communication, and organization skills.

Responsibilities:
Daily Derivative Operations activities
-Confirm derivative transactions with brokers
-Ensure the processing of daily transactions in accounting system
-Manage collateral and margin related to derivatives
-Coordinate settlement of derivatives transactions with custodian
-Provide transaction information to client counterparties
-Assist management with derivatives reporting as requested

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience
Experience with derivative investment processing required
Demonstrable understanding of Futures, Options and Swaps
Collateral processing experience a plus
3+ years Investment Operations / Middle Office experience
Exposure to Portfolio Accounting Systems, Invest One a plus
Exposure to Investment Management / Trading Systems, Charles River a plus
High degree of computer proficiency with above average knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel
Ability to work independently, prioritize work, manage time, and meet deadlines
Excellent organizational skills
 Effective communication skills
Must be very detail-oriented
 Must be a team player
Regular, predictable attendance due to daily tasks
Positive attitude and a high level of professionalism
