ISDA 2010 London Regional Conference and Press Briefing: The New Environment for OTC Derivatives

 The International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA) will hold its 2010 Regional Member Conference in London on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Accredited journalists are invited to attend the full day’s events and morning press briefing.

WHO: The conference will feature leading industry executives and public policy makers. The Honorable Jonathan Taylor, Managing Director, Financial Services and Stability, International & Finance Directorate, HM Treasury, will provide the keynote address. ISDA’s Chief Executive Officer Conrad Voldstad and Executive Vice Chairman Robert Pickel will lead the program with opening remarks. Specialist sessions will be moderated by members of the ISDA Board of Directors.

WHAT:Given the pace and scope of global financial regulatory reform many changes lie ahead for the OTC derivatives industry. The 2010 London Regional Conference focuses on these changes, assesses their impact and outlines the key issues that regulators and the industry face as legislation is implemented in the US and contemplated in Europe. Conference sessions will include:

Overview of the US regulatory reform legislation
Business implications for trade execution and counterparty risk management
Current industry commitments and market initiatives in light of regulatory requirements
Basel Capital Accord: key elements and key issues
Legal and documentation update
