March 13th, 2012 CFTC Announces Process to Designate the Provider of CFTC Interim Compliant Identifiers

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is requesting submissions from industry participants who wish to be considered for designation by the Commission as the source for identifiers to be used for identification of swap counterparties in swap recordkeeping and swap data reporting under the jurisdiction of the Commission beginning on July 16, 2012.

March 6th, 2012 New OTC Data Feed for Compliant MiFID Transaction Reporting

FOW TRADEDATA today announced the availability, through its Xymbology service, of OTC Alternative Instrument Identification (Aii) symbology for prescribed European futures and options under the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive’s (MiFID) mandatory transaction reporting requirements.

This announcement follows the recent reminder by the FSA that as from March 31st 2012 firms must report transactions in flex derivative contracts conducted through Eurex OTC and BCLEAR using the respective Aii code issued for those contracts.

(1) Final Rule on Real-Time Reporting of Swap Transaction Data;

(2) Final Rule on Swap Data Recordkeeping and Reporting Requirements; and

(3) Final Rule on Effective Date for Swap Regulation.

The Meeting is open to the public.
