| January 30th, 2012 | ESMA Outlines Future Regulatory Framework for ETFs and other UCITS Issues ESMA publishes today a consultation paper (ESMA/2012/44) setting out future guidelines on UCITS Exchange-Traded Funds (UCITS ETFs) and other UCITS-related issues. The proposals cover both synthetic and physical UCITS ETFs and detail the obligations to come for UCITS ETFs, index-tracking UCITS, efficient portfolio management techniques, total return swaps and strategy indices for UCITS. |
| August 24th, 2010 | Eurex to Launch Options on Six Lyxor ETFs New listings to expand successful ETF derivatives segment Eurex, the international derivatives exchange, announced today that it will list six new options based on the Lyxor ETFs on the indices DJ Russia Titans, DJ Turkey Titans, Hang Seng China Enterprise Index (HSCEI), Hang Seng Index (HSI), CECE Eastern Europe (CECE EUR) and MSCI Emerging Markets. Launch date will be 20 September 2010. Since the launch of the ETF options product suite in May 2010, more than 70,000 contracts have been traded. |

| March 25th, 2010 | SEC Staff Evaluating the Use of Derivatives by Fund The SEC staff is conducting a review to evaluate the use of derivatives by mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and other investment companies. The review will examine whether and what additional protections are necessary for those funds under the Investment Company Act of 1940. |
| July 1st, 2009 | ETF Securities Lists Four New Double Leveraged and Double Short ETFs on Amsterdam Market of NYSE Euronext ETF Securities, the global pioneer in Exchange Traded Commodities (ETCs) and 3rd generation Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) launched a platform of ETFs tracking double leveraged (2x) and double short (-2x) benchmarks on the Amsterdam market of NYSE Euronext. The ETFs are based on the Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50® and the CAC 40®. |
