(NYSE: "GFIG") announced today that it is the first broker to execute an electronically traded Iron Ore Swap which cleared at the Singapore Exchange “SGX” using STP (straight through processing). The trade was executed on GFI’s trading platform for energy and commodities - EnergyMatch® Europe. In addition to iron ore swaps, GFI also offers dry freight FFAs and Coal Swaps for clearing via STP into SGX.

January 12th, 2012 FFastFill to Provide Full Access to New LME Swap Contracts

FFastFill, the leading provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) to the LME marketplace, plans to provide full access to the new London Metal Exchange (LME) electronically traded swap contacts, as well as the ability for trade booking and downstream clearing. September 15th, 2011 IOSCO Announces Commodity Derivatives Markets Supervisory Principles

The Technical Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) has today published its report on Principles for the Regulation and Supervision of Commodity Derivatives Markets.  The Report, prepared by the Task Force on Commodity Futures Markets, addresses the G20’s November 2010 request for further work on regulation and supervision of physical commodity derivatives markets.

August 29th, 2011 ICE Announces First Trade of California Emissions Contract

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global regulated futures exchanges, clearing houses and over-the-counter (OTC) markets, today announced the first trade of the California Carbon Allowance forward contract. In addition to being the first trade of this cleared contract on ICE, it is the first ever exchange cleared trade based on California's new cap and trade program.
